The Science

Our technology uses the unique properties of supercritical water (high temperature and pressure) to decompose wet biomass into gaseous products such as methane, carbon dioxide, water.

Under these supercritical water conditions, the solubility of mineral salts suddenly decreases and crystallization starts, enabling salts separation from the main stream.

Competitive Advantages

No pretreatments are required; the raw feedstock is immediately injected in our container.

Process residence time is considered to be 1500 times quicker than traditional biogas production techniques such as anaerobic digestion (< 30 min vs. 20-30 days).

Biomass to Biogas conversion yield is 150% greater than similar technologies and its quality is improved.

Other than valuable byproducts, our solution does not generate residual refuse.

Generated Byproducts

BIOGAS

High quality methane-rich biogas is one of the key byproducts that can be generated by our process, with estimated up to 70% methane content, thanks to the removal of hazardous components such as sulfur before the gasification step. After purification, this biogas can be injected in the natural gas network or used directly as a source of electricity.

CLEAN WATER

From the pressurized steam water that is produced as part of the treatment process, we can recapture thermal and electric energy as well as high-quality, clean water. We figured that up to 98% of the liquid waste water content can be recovered as clean water and released in natural waterways.

FERTILIZERS

Premium quality natural fertilizers can be extracted from the mineral-rich brine containing inorganic elements that is continuously generated during treatment. These natural fertilizers are more nutrient rich and pure than most ground extracted fertilizers and are ideal for agricultural purposes.
